Liya Weldegebriel, advised by Sally Thompson, wins an Outstanding Student Presentation Award (OSPA) at last year's American Geophysical Union conference.

Her paper was titled "What determines the success of soil and water conservation practices? A case study from the Tana and Beles sub-basins, Ethiopia." Faculty adviser: Sally Thompson

These honors are awarded to only the top 5% of students, and there were over 5000 student presenters judged last year.
