Location
The Symposium will be held in the Sibley Auditorium from 8:30am-6:00 pm (please see the full schedule here.) Dinner will be held in 575 McCone hall, from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Sibley Auditorium is located in the Bechtel Engineering Center on the North East side of campus. Here is a campus map showing the location.

If you are taking BART, expect a 15 min. walk up a gentle hill to get to Sibley Auditorium. We'll have coffee, tea and muffins waiting for you when you arrive.
Arriving on Campus
To get the UC Berkeley campus from San Francisco, you may use public transportation (BART, AC Transit) or drive. Click on the map below, and enlarge as necessary to find your route to the UC Berkeley campus.

Transit Information
BART - The one way fare from Civic Center, Powell, Montgomery, or Embarcadero Station in San Francisco to Downtown Berkeley is $3.65. If you embark at 16th Street/Mission Station, the one way fare is $3.75.
On Sunday, embark on a Pittsburg/Baypoint train, transfer at 12th street/downtown Oakland to a Richmond train (it will be waiting directly across the platform) and exit at Downtown Berkeley. Trains run every 15 min. on Sunday.
The train schedule is as follows:
From 16th street: 8:29 am (arrives 8:59am)
From Civic Center(SF): 8:31 am (arrives 8:59am)
From Powell St: 8:33am (arrives 8:59am)
From Montgomery St: 8:34am (arrives 8:59am)
From Embarcadero: 8:36am (arrives 8:59am)
To reach campus from the BART station: Walk East (uphill) on Center Street until you get to campus.
To reach Sibley Auditorium once you are on campus at Center Street:
Follow the walkway that proceeds straight ahead, uphill toward Sather Tower (the large bell tower).
At the tower, turn left (North) and proceed, passing Memorial Glade (large grassy area) on your left and Evans Hall (a huge concrete building) on your right.
Bechtel Engineering Center is straight ahead. Sibley Auditorium is reached from the upper outdoor plaza between Bechtel and Evans Hall. If you find yourself at the entrance to the engineering library, with a big circular skylight above you, you need to go back outside and come up one level to find the entrance to Sibley Auditorium.

Driving and Parking
There will be some street parking available on Sunday and the meters are not enforced. Parking on the North side of campus is closest to Sibley Auditorium.
To get to campus from San Francisco:
- Take Interstate 80 East over the Bay Bridge. Follow the signs toward Berkeley. (I-80E and I-580W are the same road at this point.)
- Exit at University Ave.
(please note: the exit ramps forks, stay to your left to go up on to University Ave.) - Follow University Ave. until it ends at Oxford Street at the foot of campus.
- Turn LEFT on Oxford.
- Turn RIGHT on Hearst.
Finding Sibley Auditorium:
To enter campus, pass through North Gate, bear to your left as soon as you can to walk around O'Brien hall.
Once through the construction area, bear to your left to find Sibley Auditorium.
Sibley Auditorium is between Davis and Evans Halls. We will post signs to help with navigation.
