Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Catchment Science Symposium?
The Catchment Science Symposium is an informal meeting held the Sunday before AGU. It provides an opportunity for the catchment science community to discuss long-standing problems and recent research in greater depth than is usually possible in the AGU format.

Who can come?
The Symposium is open to anyone interested in catchment science as long as there is space. Although advance registration is not required, it will help us to estimate the number of people coming and allow us to plan accordingly. By registering, you commit to pay the (really modest) meeting fee outlined below to help us cover our costs. If you later discover that you can't make it, please contact Carolyn Remick and let her know so that your space can be used by someone else.

Where do I register?
Please go here.

How much does it cost?
The cost is $35 if you register in advance and pay, and $50 in cash if you pay at the door on Sunday morning.

How do I pay?

We will also accept payment in cash (US Dollars) on the day of the the event, but we'd prefer it if you would pay in advance.

How do I volunteer?
You can contact Carolyn Remick and she'll put you to work. And thanks! We can't do it without the help of a lot of dedicated people.

Where is Berkeley? How do I get there from San Francisco?
Berkeley is on the East side of the San Francisco Bay.
It is most easily reached from San Franscisco via BART. Take a Pittsburg/Baypoint train, transfer at Downtown Oakland, then exit at downtown Berkeley, and walk East and onto campus.
